- Do you want a pet or will you be breeding
kittens in the future?
- What generation will you want? (F1, F2,
etc., refers to the generation away from the
Serval breeding she is - males are sterile until
the 5th generation)
- Do you have a vet chosen that treats
Savannahs?
- Do you have an ample amount of playroom
with scratching posts, climbing trees and a
variety of toys?
- If you have children, will they be calm, kind
and respectful of her?
- Do you have any small animals (hamsters,
birds, fish, etc) that might prove to be a tempting
meal for kitty?
- Are you ready to commit to a higher
standard of care and feeding, which includes
high protein low carb food only, and vitamin
supplements to make sure their diet resembles
the nutrient intake of the Serval in the wild?
- Have you researched state and local
government agencies to check if there are any
ordinances against owning this type of
Savannah?
